ALPHA BOX?

After more than five years of academic research, field testing, and scientific study, AlphaFood has developed and successfully tested a stable housing system designed specifically for the species Acheta domesticus.

Through the collaboration of agri-livestock specialists, animal scientists, entomologists, and engineers, Alpha Box was born—a revolutionary system created to maximize farming efficiency while ensuring animal welfare and strict compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

For this reason, AlphaFood has chosen to pursue an innovative and sustainable development model, promoting the use of cricket flour-based foods. Compared to conventional farming, cricket farming has a significantly lower environmental impact.

Cricket farms use approximately 99% less water and emit just 0.1% of the CO₂ produced by traditional livestock operations.

In fact, compared to intensive farming systems, cricket farming:

  • Requires 90% less space,

  • Uses just 10% of the feed required by conventional livestock,
